No I don't have any card readers or anything like that.. I tried the way you suggested but still no success.. The first two (hd0 hd1) will get a booting label ( print "Booting...") and then it just hangs there. The rest of them just say that it is not a valid boot disk.

Now when I run whatnic it tells me that the drivers I need are E1000E and E1000 but when I go to the website to find them the link is dead. Do you know where else I can find these drivers?

Has anyone found a solution for this? I would like to be able to PXE boot UBCD but have all of the systems to boot from (Freedos, Slax, etc) located on an NFS server. I have tried just changing the main.cfg file so that it would look like this LABEL Slax KERNEL [ip-address]:/[folder-with-slax] APPEN...

Also inside of lib there is no ndis folder, the only folders that are there are aspi and odi16. Thanks for all the h...

See USB drives in FreeDos

Does anyone know how to mount a USB drive or the hard drive while running freedos off of a boot cd. I know I can run UBCD off of usb but I want to be able to run it off of a CD but be able to write to the hard drive or USB drive.
Thanks!

Thanks Icecube! I finally got it to work by using the method described in the link. I don't know what I was doing wrong the first time. Now that I can access the options through console would you know how I can make the options on the menus accessible by pressing a different number for each option i...

I tried putting SERIAL 0 at the top of the default.cfg file as well and this file is included in the rest of the menus but it still doesn't seem to work. I can get console redirection if I boot slax from the ultimate boot cd so I know that there is no problem on the host side but I need to be able t...

Thanks for the link. I tried to set it up by adding the line SERIAL 0 (since I only have one serial port) but I still can't get it to show up. I'll get the bios setup through the console but not the UBCD menu. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?

Does any one know how to enable console support for UBCD? I want to be able to boot the CD and control everything via console.

Thanks!

auto start

If I want to start UBCD automatically instead of having to push enter when it first starts, what do I need to do to change this? Or in order to just change the time out so that it starts UBCD instead of the hard drive.

Thanks

console

Hi,
I was wondering if there was console support for UBCD and how I would get it onto UBCD. Basically I want to be able to put UBCD into a computer and boot it but then be able to control the menu and all of the options through console. Is this possible?

Thanks in advance!
