all due

with all due respect intended, I still keep a ubcd in my laptop backpack. when is v5 comming out of beta? its nothing personal but it seems to been a bit and some of the packages are seriously going of of date (eg. pmagic is working on version 4.5 and last saw you included 3.7)

hmm

I know you're probably waiting for a reply from developper, but my experience so far is that it stays a relatively large size (with included linux distro). There is probably two options; 1) remove pmagic/clonezilla or other large distro a) replace it with a smaller one like damn small or puppy secon...

wondering, has anybody though of or made a gui for the make 2usb script or used a tool like unetbootin to set it up? Asking cause; 1) 16gb on sale for $50 @ walmart 2) using unetbootin I've been able to "test" several syslinux distros with (so far) a 1/10 failure rate. It is extremely easy...

if it's an easy enough or straight forward manner I will make some plugins for apps/distros/etc.. I don't already see, I am not a programer however so It's likely not to be as good or intuitive than some others. I think though we need to allow whomever wants to to upload it, post it here or otherwis...

there are so many possibilities, and opinions on a good one so I hope that while the software can be closed the method for creating a plugin is open and simplified for those not able to script but want to donate, like myself. I have several commercial/non-commercial apps I use on my ubcds and can do...

I say occassionally cause no real idea what it'll look like, however a tool to update the virus/spy definitions and create a new iso would definitely be useful, depending on how it develops perhaps it'll be a more used tool by myself.

help! lost nearly 400gb on a vfat, is there a program ubcd?

help me, please! I just used ubuntu to check out my partition scheme hoping to install windows correctly (ironically making sure I didn't kill anything). I used the file manager to load the file system /dev/sda3 and couldn't remove the temporary files and recycling bin..... so I used rm -rf recycler...

The UBCD content are now found in its own "ubcd" subdir. All the linux stuff (eg. Parted Magic, DBAN etc.) are found in their own root subdirs however. darn :-( I'm gonna try to move as many as i can inside the ubcd when final comes out, but I know sometimes (in my own experience) not all...

I am wondering if clameav/xfprot is on a linux bootable or directly in the menu? also wondering if the 2usb will allow me to have a single directory for ubcd so that I don't have alot of diff ones cluttering up my thumbdrive?...

ntfs and other comments/suggestions

ntfs; I can only hope this was done after much consideration. ntfs is the new filesystem and we need access to it through some tools including any anti-virus. i hope some solution can be found. parted magic is prolly the best solution without intergrating a full distro, it is a fairly good distro by...

hope to see the new version out soon, I hate waiting for the new ones... Not trying to bitch, but is annoying to patch the system files and new programs, virus definitions... yeah ok, that does sound like bitching. I know! Anyways I hope that it comes out soon. I always try to keep one around whenev...

thanks constance, that appears to be what I'm looking for. It was giving me a headache trying to find exactly where I needed to add that command in all the .bat files. I have created my "custom" free dos image back to /images/ and remastered my ubcd iso. But I had to leave at work before I...

ok, I see what you're saying. It's not exactly what I was looking though. I have several tools I'd like to add to the command line, not just one to startup automatically. my best example is if I boot directly into FreeDOS Boot Disk V3.40 in dos/bootdisks and end up in a command prompt. Now besides t...

geexbox v1.1 with ubcd v4.1 intergration

I am not a writer, but I'll attempt to make it simple enough to understand and/or follow. I wrote this after the fact so I may have to edit this later or add more info. But I thought this subject might come up because i must not be the only person to want multimedia on a bootdisk OR a kitchen sink b...

custom path=[ubcd]/myapps/ for all dos versions

Can one add a command to the "append =" or some other area in ubcd to create a custom path and enable use of custom commands. (eg. if I wanted to add doom for dos in [ubcd]\games\doom\ and use command "doom" to start it up instead of \games\doom\doom.exe) also making sure that it...

I didn't know myself until seeing your post and looking. Seagate has recently purchased maxtor and their normal support webpage and link for powermax redirects you do download seagate's tools instead. So in their defence here @ ubcd It seems to be a forced change. ps. you can download powermax @ htt...
