UBCD on a bootable 256MB flash drive now available!

I don't know why I hadn't ever thought of this before! Someone contacted me last week about getting UBCD on a USB drive and I thought I would check it out. Luckily it's pretty easy to do. Everyone loves USB flash drives because they are so small and convenient. So I am now offering UBCD on a 256MB S...

Who really owns UBCD???

I am really not trying to be a jerk. The real reason for this post is frustration!! While I hate wasting time reporting "bad auctions" in eBay for my own project....UBCD for Windows. I have found a few interesting issues in a fight with one seller. I can't report UBCD sales because Victor ...

The BSOD and unstability are the common signs of bad RAM. I have found that installing Windows XP is about the best "burn in" test you can use. As for the heat, that is common with laptops. Things that come to mind would be very dirty (or broken) fans in the laptop. I would inspect all the...

You need to burn the ISO file properly. Sounds like you tried to make this CD bootable with an option in your software, this is wrong. Just burning the file to CD does nothing. You need to select "Burn Image file to CD" in your burning software. An ISO image needs to be processed properly ...

I test all memory for a minimum of 2 hours, if it's a bigger stick (128 or 256) I try to do them overnight. I only have 2 systems setup for those and 8 hours a day to do that. While they are testing I dig through more stuff and put together systems. The processor was a P4, I think 1.5Ghz. So I wonde...

I was vague in my initial post. However the original question was asking about the "installers" page........I don't know if this user has noticed that there are several pages for most of the "groups." Since you say you use UBCD to test hard drives....have you ever noticed a probl...

I have noticed this also over the past couple of weeks, but kept forgetting to post about it. I've been thinking about posting to ask what everyone thinks is the best memory and cpu tester in the project. I usually use MemTest86+. After using it on about 50 different sticks of memory I still haven't...

When most of the programs startup they search for their drives. This is of course included in the circuits on the hard drive. If the software doesn't find it's brand of hard drive, most of them tell you that and then say there is nothing it can do.

I have been using UBCD daily in my new job.....mostly for testing hard drives, ram, and getting information about hardware. I am just not really sure what tool will allow you the ability to copy those missing files to your hard drive. It could also be something else? A description of what happened t...

Thanks Baron for replying. I didn't earlier because I figured there would be no way to convince this person?? Attacking others because you are (or may be) a pirate just makes you look even more GUILTY. It's a fact that Hiren's is piracy. If UBCD4Win or Bart's PE were.....wouldn't MS shut our sites d...

I really wish a topic like this would be closed and the members posting would be warned for this type of behavior.

Hiren's is WAREZ!!! I wouldn't even want that word (hiren) associated with myself, project, or forum.

You need to "close" or "finalize" the CD or DVD when burning it. You cannot make any of these bootable CD's as "multisession." After your initial post I was going to ask you if you were sure that you didn't try to make the disc bootable with Nero, as the DRDOS problem i...

My project is only released in a self extracting EXE, which contains a basic EULA. So they are breaking the rules with that. I'm pretty sure that all tools in my project are allowed to be there. I contacted most authors over the course of my project. There are several tools that I have had to ask fo...

That's a pretty nice CD!! I'm guessing it's dual boot also, since I see screenshots of my project on their auction! This is sad. They have a pretty high feedback number also, wonder how long they've been doing this? I've contacted several people in the past and forced them to stop, they were smart e...
