Re: Can I put a subset of UBCD on a 256MB USB drive?
I've stripped the PartedMagic on a couple builds when I was adding to multi-boot CDs/DVDs and USB drives which had PartedMagic already. I think I got the base image down to around 200MB. Just remove the PartedMagic files and edit the required config files and rebuild.

Re: Problems with copying to drive
I've used Testdisk in the past with great success for just this issue. Although, Windows 10 is newer and may have some possible issues with file system and such with testdisk. But definitely worth a shot. Testdisk in included with PartedMagic but you could also install/run it from your Linux install...

Re: Broadcom drivers
It would help to post at the Opensuse site.
If you have a wired connection available, you could try updating the system that way and maybe you'll get the driver for the wifi.
Good luck...

Re: UBCD and Photorec _ Can not see another destination Dis
I had the same issue with testdisk/photorec a couple years back.
I ran testdisk/photorec with "sudo" and it worked fine.
In terminal, type "sudo photorec" and type in the password when asked.
Good luck.

Re: Flashing AMI BIOS
It's been a while but the last time I did this, I copied the update program and firmware update to a USB drive or the on board hard drive and booted into freedos and ran it with no problems. If your system is BIOS it should work fine. If your system is UEFI all bets are off as I haven't worked on an...

Re: Having issues adding ISOs to UBCD 5
As I recall your Ophcrack "tables" directory has to be in the root of the boot device. When using Yumi, I actually install the "Notables" version and create a "tables" directory at root and then put the various tables extracted folders in the "tables" directory.

Re: CPUstress image: Power button behavior (opinions please)
If your going to enable it, either way works for me but I do usually shut down after doing burn-in testing. Could you enable a popup that offered both options and a cancel? To be honest, I haven't used CPUstress in quite a while.

Re: Restore to factory default.
You can usually contact the manufacturer (Gateway) and get a restore set mailed to you but they will probably charge you. Sometimes you can find the CDs/DVDs on the internet on sites like Craigslist, Ebay, etc.
Good luck...

Re: Is it possible to host the latest EXPLODED ISO of UBCD?
Generally speaking (and FWIW), I am not "comfortable" with distributing scripts to delete / replace files. The risk of deleting some (part of a) customized version is always there. @ Victor , For future versions, perhaps you might want to consider providing xdelta downloads in addition to whole ISO...

Not sure if you found this thread but it worked for me. Although I haven't checked to see if anything was different with the new versions of YUMI.

Re: ubcd4 - hdd diagnostic results. now what ?
UBCD has several "Cloning" programs, you can find them in the menu under HDD/Disk Cloning. I've used EaseUs Disk Copy and others with little to no problems. The hard drive manufacturer's boot CDs usually have something for this such as Western Digitals DLG having Acronis True Image which is excellen...

Re: ubcd4 - hdd diagnostic results. now what ?
Chances are the files are lost, drive is possibly dead. See if you can access the recovery partition when booting, I found forum posts showing F8 and F11. The timing can be a bit of a pain with some systems and when to hit the button. I usually keep hitting the key every couple seconds, mainly as th...

Re: ubcd4 - hdd diagnostic results. now what ?
You can try to recover the partition, testdisk is included in PMagic... If your able to recover the partition you should be good, but I would still copy everything over to another drive and reload/restore.

Re: ubcd4 - hdd diagnostic results. now what ?
Did you check the MD5 of the ISO you downloaded?
Are you booting from a CD or USB?
You can try another Live CD/DVD or USB to copy over files.

Re: ubcd4 - hdd diagnostic results. now what ?
You can use GParted which is included in PMagic to re-partition the drive. There are several formatting utilities in UBCD but I usually use the OS I'm installing to do that. The recovery DVD will format and possibly partition the drive. If your system had a recovery partition it should re-create tha...

DFT is on the UBCD 4.11, after googleing UBCD 4.11, which is the version I have, I found that the DFT on this version is 4.09. Be advised that is what I ran to get the results in my first post. Are suggesting that I download, burn and run the latest UBCD version and DFT ? I do usually run the latest...
