Windows 98? You are brave. (-: If memory serves, Windows 98 comes supplied on a CD (you shouldn't need to use a floppy drive). Also, you may want to consider using Windows 2000 instead; the NT kernel used by NT/2000/XP/Vista is far more stable and less prone to system crashes than Win 9x. I had an o...

@echo off call ubcd2iso.cmd ../../../ ubcd50b5-custom.iso I'm not to keen on this. NwDsk still requires a valid volume ID when using UBCD4.1.1 (it's purely cosmetic for UBCD5.0b5, thus, a non-issue). It would be best to set the volume ID as a constant, one which is designated according to distribut...

It could be a number of issues related to either the hard disk controller driver, the controller itself, the drive, the drive cable or the BIOS. You should have received a little more information from your BSOD (could you post it?). In the meantime, see this... http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555302...

If I didn't remember wrongly, the MS-DOS version of NwDsk was never included with UBCD, but can be downloaded from Erwin's website. You guess it, it was due to possible licensing issues. In all probability, you're most likely correct (I'm not sure why I assumed it was in UBCD 4). However, exception...
