Hey mrpkd- this is Ben, you emailed me yesterday. I found some time to figure out a fix for you. Figured I would post my sucess here so others can easily do this also. Modifying or repacking ISO images can sometimes be tricky. I usually do not like messing with them and really haven't much in the pa...

First, you need to make sure the BIOS is set to boot from CD. Have you verified this yet?? Second, you may have burned your ISO image incorrectly. When you look at your "burnt" CD....how many files and folder are there on it? If you only see one file, you burnt it wrong. If you see several files and...

Hmmm, sorry to squash your idea and my enthusiasm about it...but I thought of a better alternative. It would actually be better for you to keep a backup on your HDD. I have thought about this a lot after my post. You should be able to read your HDD when booted into the project. You could then use on...

Actually AdAware should update....it's run from the ram drive, so it's updateable. I'll have to check into that more. Sorry about FF, we are working on a new beta right now with several fixes for 2.55. The most simple fix is to run FF, close it, and then run it again....it should work. If you want t...

As the author of UBCD4Win I can clear a few things up for you. Bart's site is correct. UBCD4Win is a Bart's PE disc, but loaded with a bunch of freeware. UBCD4Win was inspired by this project, that's most of the reason why I used the UBCD name. UBCD4Win is basically like UBCD except all the applicat...

I think you aren't burning it properly. You state there isn't an image file when you extract the zip or the exe?? What file(s) do you get when you extract them? Every time I have extracted them I get an ISO file, which is the image file. You state that the CD will "autorun" in Windows, but won't boo...

When you extract the EXE it should create an ISO file. Do you have "hide extensions for know file types" turned on?? The extension may be hidden because of this setting. WinRAR does extract ISO images. Depending on the file associations for WinRAR (when you installed it) it is probably setup to be a...

Selection screen?? What option or screen are you exactly talking about? I don't see an option for a "selection" screen.

Based on the size you are posting, you have a corrupt download! Please download and try again. I personally use and recommend CDBurner XP Pro, I even have instructions for burning ISO's (with screenshots) on my website. I also suggest you verify the Hash (MD5), to ensure your download isn't corrupt ...

Sorry to sound stupid, I honestly haven't had the need to run UBCD for quite some time (might be a good thing). Does UBCD support SCSI/SATA/RAID hard drives? I'm just thinking that maybe KingD's hard drive is setup in one of those ways and that's why it won't be recognized. Have you ever used UBCD o...

Well, Victor has a few messages on his site about this. Honestly there isn't much that we can do about it. I have the same problem with my FREE project also. Since we aren't huge corporations with attorney's....eBay really doesn't care about us. All they care about is getting their money when people...

An accountant needs extra money?? I suggest you check this post in my forum. It's based on combining the original UBCD and (my project) UBCD for Windows. It should help you and the users in my forum will be glad to provide a quick response to your questions. http://www.ubcd4win.com/forum/i...

No offense to anyone here

NO, I was not talking about you. I do not want to offend anyone here at all. Your activities sound legit, just like the others that send out the CD directly from Victor's site. I was just referencing some personal experiences with my project being sold. People have stripped references of my project ...

I agree

First let me thank you for creating this project almost 2 years ago. I am very glad that I found out about this great tool very close to it's beginning. Thanks to you and your users my project was created almost a year ago! I don't know how many people have been around this project long enough to re...
