Re: UBCD V5.2.9 available for download
While not critical... ubcd2iso.cmd echo Requires: W2K/XP/W2K3/Vista/W2K8/W7 and UBCD extracted to local storage and ubcd2usb.cmd echo Requires: W2K/XP/W2K3/Vista/W2K8/W7 and an (optionally extracted) UBCD Testing for Win8.1 64bit now...Let you know if it works as someone said they were having issues...

If its a windows program and can only run in windows XP, then you can use UBCD4Win and build a bartpe for windows xp with drivers for your flash drive or add it manually as there is an option in the program to Build the BartPE.

I have windows 8.1 64bit, running a Legacy BIOS. I will see if I can replicate this issue. Curious myself why this wouldn't work for you. Obviously with UEFI that is another story all together. Putting a reminder for myself to test it tonight. For now, you could use SARDU, Rufus, XBOOT, or YUMI to g...

Re: Placing a program onto a SD or SDHC card to run at bootu
If its the same computer, and you are leaving the drive plugged in all the time, you could try http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/79612-startup-programs-enable-disable.html But the settings will not carry over to other computers. So would have to repeat the step on each computer you use with the SD c...

Re: Will disk cloning work here?
I don't think the drive going to work right if Samsung's own tool reports it as "faulty". It checks the drive and reads/writes to it to test it. Often people receive faulty drives which are just purchased because of Quality check issues. Everyone who buys their own computer hardware will e...

Re: Suggestions for replacement of Parted Magic
Curious, does UBCD NEED a replacement for Parted Magic ? Think about it, with tools already included, does one actually need a GUI? And nowadays, many easy to use programs let you add UBCD on a UFD without much effort. We also have tons of tutorials on adding custom entries to UBCD before remasterin...

Re: How can UBCD access the W7 setup.exe in a 2nd SATA drive
I don't get it. Whether you wipe out your HDD or not, I don't understand StopSpazzing 's suggestion. If you cannot boot this system with a DVD, then Windows Seven cannot be installed by booting from its own DVD. I am not so sure that this system is a match for Win7, unless you have additional resou...

Re: How can UBCD access the W7 setup.exe in a 2nd SATA drive
EDIT: Drivers are required if using a separate controller attached to a riser slot of some sort. So to fix my response you may wipe the drive with UBCD, then use another means to install win7 into the computer, but as was suggested, you best bet with such an old computer would be to use alternative ...

CD version uses isolinux, syslinux for USB. Should work if you use the isolinux.cfg file for the CD.

Re: Create UBCD USB Using Mac OS X
Save yourself the headache: http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/
Works on Mac OS X.
Surprised this doesn't support UBCD, but can select iso. I have used it in the past, never on Mac OS X, but it is supported. Let me know how it works for you.

Re: UBCD and TrueCrypt
TrueCrypt requires an "environment" to run, whether that be Windows, Linux, Or Mac OS. This would not be possible because there is no DOS version of truecrypt. Therefore, neither with YUMI nor UBCD would you be able to decrypt a partition/file. Your best bet would either be use a Linux Liv...

Now I see ady's point. Why get something specific when you can get something EASILY customizable. Modules and backwards compatibility with pmagic out of the box. I'm starting to lean toward Porteus as the solution.

Re: SATA DRIVE
Hello, Does anyone out there know if the UBCD V5.x has programs that could look at a Toshiba 320 SATA drive that can not be seen in the BIOS. I've used MiniTools Partition program USB boot, and it shows Block 0 error and Sector 0 errror, but it does show the 3 partitions. I need a program to check,...
