Re: Alternate ways of writing UBCDLive V0.2.2b ISO to USB?
8_ Test with http://multibootusb.org/ (I have not tested it). I tested multibootusb on Debian today and it does work with putting UBCD on a USB memory stick. First format your USB memory stick. Then run multibootusb. Select the "Syslinux" tab. Then select "Install only syslinux (exis...

Re: UBCD V5.3.4 available for download
_ The volume label of fdubcd.img is (still) "FDUBCD150 " (that's 11 characters, uppercase). This is of course just a minor detail, and does not affect functionality. _ By zeroing out (aka. wiping with one pass only) the _empty_ space inside the fdubcd.img image (there are several ways to ...

Re: UBCD V5.3.4 available for download
This matter brings up again an old discussion about the possibility of distributing an alternative torrent. In addition to the normal "ubcd<nnn>.iso", an alternative torrent with an updated "ubcd_extracted_for_torrent" directory could be published for each release, allowing down...

I have corrected the website (version numbers and changelog) to reflect this, and will push out a new release this weekend with the necessary corrections. Thanks to ...

Re: UBCD Live V0.2.2b available for download
If you are running UBCD Live from a USB memory stick, you can now easily persist all changes to the memory stick by doing the following: 1. Write the ISO image to the memory stick using Universal USB Installer or LinuxLive USB Creator . 2. In the root directory, you will find a tiny file called pers...

Re: CPUstress image: Power button behavior (opinions please)
I am not a "heavy" user of CPUStress. I have only used it a handful of times helping friends burn-in their newly acquired desktops. I actually prefer the current no-action behaviour. Reason is because it is very easy to accidentally press the power button, especially if you have kids in th...
