Sorry. It's the post 5th or so from the bottom; it explains how to add your own dosapps on the CD using the *.INI file (I assume that's what you were referring to in mention of the startup.bat files). Edit: If you're asking how to change the host OS from FreeDOS to another DOS-compatible OS, I don't...

Network drivers for FreeDOS image...

I've been putting this off for a while now until I had a chance to properly examine/address the CDROM and ASPI components (almost wrapped up). The question is, which set of drivers would you like to see included in the 2.88Mb FreeDOS image? 1)Novell ODI Drivers or 2)Microsoft NDIS Drivers ?? I'm not...

No problem. You'll need to download the latest version of FreeDOS for UBCD... http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1422 Once downloaded, unzip the file. Rename the image "dosubcd.igz" to "dosubcd.img.gz" (you should now be able to open the archived image using Gzi...

Yeah, get rid of that google stuff (maybe echo "Checking connection..." instead). fpudate...not sure. I think it works(?). http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3137/2846350530_88c78158e3_o.gif Edit: I suspect it's working fine since the definitions are already up-to-date (see previous screen).

Do you experience a similar problem when booting UBCD from CD? Also, are any of these hard disks SCSI systems? If so, you need to load an ASPI manager in order for DOS to recognise these devices.

What version of UBCD are you using?

I now have the latest version. Reading thru the readme states the following: D3. Customisation options ----------------------- They exist. Bizarre problem. It sounds like it could be a number of issues (hdd driver, hdd controller, filesystem, BIOS...). Jumper settings? Is there any utility I can use that doesn't require booting into Windows which will copy all of the files over to the fully functional SATA drive? I'm at the end of my r...

I'm fairly sure this was supported on Erwin's original NwDsk (3.40 at least). I think the only aspect that's changed since then is the reboot command it defaults to when called (COLDBOOT vs WARMBOOT).
