If I remember correctly, all of them are for undeleting partitions, not
files.
If you can find any free ones (non-demo), please share it with us!

NTFS formatting utility for raw (unformatted) hard disks?
Are you absolutely sure Acronis TrueImage wants a formatted/partitioned HDD to restore an image?!! I have not used Acronis TrueImage personally, but knowing what it does (something like Ghost), it seems kinda ironic to want a NTFS-formatted harddisk (when diaster strikes) to restore an image to, sin...

NTFS formatting utility for raw (unformatted) hard disks?
I don't know of any utility that will format the harddisk into NTFS per
se, since this will also involve partitioning. This is best done using
the OS setup CD eg. the WinXP Setup CD.
The diagnosis apps from the HDD manufacturers will typically only
perform a low-level format of the harddisk for you.

What are the plans for UBCD 3.3 ?
Yesterday, I would have given you a more pessimistic schedule.
But I have made significant progress last night, so I'd say V3.3 should
be due next week or so!

What are the plans for UBCD 3.3 ?
For UBCD 3.3, the main thing is that we are moving to CDShell 2.1.5 and bcdw 2.0. The nice thing about CDShell 2.1.5 is that diskemu has been vastly improved, so you can boot certain ISO images directly (eg. Acronis stuff). I will add a tutorial on how to do this once UBCD 3.3 is out. Other than tha...

Format HardDisk
Typically, "formatting" the HDD refers to installing some kind of OS on it, such as Windows or Linux. In that case, you probably shouldn't be using the UBCD, but the OS installer. If however, you are trying to wipe the HDD (so that data cannot be recovered when you dispose of it), you can ...

Did you enable the NTFS module when booting into FreeDOS? By default, to

Loading SCSI drivers for a custom menu app?
I was looking at putting SCSIMax into the UBCD. Unfortunately, neither the FreeDOS nor the NwDsk boot disk include ASPI drivers (except ASPIUSB), which SCSIMax requires. Unless there is some sort of universal SCSI boot disk modelled after NwDsk, I think it's going to be difficult adding SCSIMax to t...

how to update av programs
After you get the sdatxxxx.exe file, do a sdatxxxx.exe /? from the command line to see all the possible options. I think you do a sdatxxxx.exe /x to extract all files to the current directory. It is probably best to do that with sdatxxxx.exe in its own directory so that all files will be extracted t...

You might have to create another boot disk for it, customize UBCD to add
it in.
If you successfully do that, could you send me the disk image so that I
can add it to the next version of UBCD?
