Sounds like you maybe have a bad disk then. I would suggest either getting the official torrent off of the download page or use flashget or another download manager to download it from one of the sites. You don't have to get the full version... That will save you some download time.

If you select the app, it should launch then and there. Susch as with Memtest, it launches the tester and starts testing then and there. Did you modify the disk at all? Did you do a straight burn from the iso to your disk?

UBCD4Win would also be a good one for this example. UBCD is great for diagnostics and password resets and such. UBCD4Win is great for the tasks that you just can't do without launching XP such as copying files from one place to another without having an external drive available.

I do know that the disk only supports single disk booting. There maybe a way to integrate it as a dos app. I believe you would have to edit a freedos image to autolaunch it. Or as i do, launch it manually from the command prompt. That is how I do mine. Others can adise as to how to add it to the fre...

I don't know the steps off the back of my hand... If you read each step and don't just assume that each option is default, then you will catch the step you missed. There could be a multitude of steps that could undo what you are trying to do. So like I said, read each step carefully and follow them ...

Try it again and let us know.

Have you tried booting the machine into Safe Mode or tried Last Known Good config yet? Is it a MS, Apple, or Linux box? We see that you want to transfer a file from one place to your hard drive to install that driver. We need more info to help you though. At the very least, we need to know the OS...

no floppy.... Either skimmed over that part or did not register that fact. Either way, deep doo doo... There is another way to make the flash drive bootable and that is using that utility mentioned in the USB version of the UBCD to manually make the boot partition. Then grap a image of Win98 or ME b...

If all you want to do is flash the BIOS and pretty much nothing else, what you can do is grab a proggie called "HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool" and use that to format the USB properly. before you format it though, make a bootable dos disk using windows. Pop in your floppy and then right c...

I believe that there is a CPU burn in tester that you can use on the processor itself. Other than that, i would suggest the manufacturers diagnostics for the rest of the hardware. If the laptop maker does not have a comprehensive suite of diags, then I am not sure... If it is a Dell, you are in luck...

So people can play with this and check it out, may we have a link to the iso you are using for the TP utils? One thing you can also try is this. Extract the iso to a folder of its own on the root of UBCD. Get the Win98 or WinME boot disk and add it to your UBCD. Of course do this legaly... Once you ...

Will the executible run froma dos prompt even though it has not loaded off of the CD? If this is the caes, you might be able to extract the contents of the CD to a folder on the root of the UBCD and run from a FreeDOS or a MSDOS floppy image. You cold even customize a bootable floppy to run the CD d...
