Can you kill your son's ex ? That won't help with data recovery, but will be good anyway ^^
Sorry but it will certainly be hard to recover anything since installing another system over the original one overwrote things, and most likely the filesystem's allocation info :/

I doubt it would, since WinVNC is a Windows based program ... might be in UBCD4Win though.

Well, the idea is nice, yet as it's already been said, UBCD being intended to work on as many machines as possible even in somewhat "extreme" conditions, it's probably better if it keeps a text based menu system.

The AMD Athlon, Sempron, and Opteron series processors should execute any 16, 32, or 64 bit operation without any problems whatsoever. I would assume that the Ultimate Boot CD runs in 16 or 32 bit. If you're having troubles, check the hash on the ISO you downloaded and re-download if necessary. The...

It's not correct.
The ISO file is already bootable but itself ; as I said you should burn it as an image, not try anything else.

As far as I know, it's not possible (meaning, you won't be able to boot it after booting UBCD).
There has been several threads asking for this, and if I remember right, the only solution would have been to do the opposite when possible, that is integrate UBCD into the other ISO.

Update Notification : Partition Saving 3.60

Everything is in the title.
Well, except that there now is also a Windows version (seems not able to save the partition from which the system is being run, but that's logical enough).

I only tried to run Partition Saving and something failed before loading it, if I remember correctly it was while booting the FreeDOS floppy image which loads it ... so I guess all apps that are loaded using the same image would proabably fail too.

Re: [AMD x64 Dual Core Architecture] Does UBC Work?

UBC works despite the OS installed on my machine. That's ok. Got it. What if I have AMD processor x64 Dual Core? Does it still work? Thanks for your replies in advance. At least some apps didn't seem to work when I tried on such a system a while ago : I couldn't run Partition Saving ... Can't do te...

Just extract the 7z or exe file so you get an ISO file, and burn it as an image.
If you're unsure of how to do it, use IMGBurn, it won't let you do it the bad way.
