Why not? When you plug in an external USB drive, Parted Magic should automatically mount the drive and show the drive icon on the desktop.

Which app are you using to extract files from the ISO image?

On Windows, you can use 7-Zip.

On Linux, you can use 7z.

Yes it is. All txz files with this directory will be extracted to root. The script to do that is in "/etc/rc.local". That was how I migrated the PMUBCD modules with minimal changes.
