Smart ass child... Good day to you. I will no longer attempt to try to help you as you are now on your own unless someone else steps in. I even sank down and did something i rarely do and apologized to you. You greet my humbling before you with a slap to my face pointing out my obvious spelling erro...

My apologies then... I did not read your entire first post as it was not concise. Being in Desktop support, I have unfortunately trained myslef to glean important info without reading it all. Most of the time this works fine. As your BIOS does not infact see the drive, then I would have to say that ...

Shouldn't be to hard... If it is under warranty, they may even do on site repair for you. Otherwise they are simple to replace on most laptops. In fact Dell laptops for the most part are one screw and the assembly comes out and you simply place in the new assembly. Different makers all do things dif...

From my experience with th4e memtest programs in the disk, the default that it runs with is a continuous loop that keeps running and running until you say stop. On the screen you will see where it says how many passes it has done. If it is on the first pass after 18 hours on the rig you mentioned......

ok... Calm down. We are not mind readers to start with. We are trying to help. Please answer these questions to help us help you. Does your BIOS see the Hard Drive as the proper size? When you boot up with your XP CD, does it see your Hard Drive? When you use the utilities on the UBCD disk, do any o...

Don't try to format it with the utility that you were using. Basically use a wipe program to clear the drive with one pass. This will remove the file table and all files on the HD. Then after it has ben cleared, then use the XP install disk to create a partition and format it with NTFS. This should ...

This site is for the DOS based UBCD. UBCD4Win is the XP live disk that uses XP to boot and run from CD. I would recommend you restate your question in the UBCD4Win.com/forum site.

All the iso's I have seen from Dell havehad the files visible... Another way to get them would be to visit the support.dell.copm website and download the HardDrive variant of the diag software. If you get the floppy base software, it will be 4 disks and i have not been able to successfully get those...

I also use the Dell diags. Although... I removed them from the iso's and CD's and added the directly into my disk. I can't run the memory tests in the delldiags this way but I still get to run them. Might be worth a shot...

Going out of the box... I use UltraISO myself personally and I have found that if you add all the files and then make the disk bootable by pointing it to one of the BIN files inside of the boot folder it works everytime for me. I have not tried the BAT files or anything. Try doing the BIN file in yo...

I did not realize this and thusly my apologies for the misinformation. When you mentioned barts in your post it threw me off. Many people come to this forum seeking assistance with the UBCD4Win. Since this disk is DOS based I was unaware that there was any NIC drivers on it... That again threw me ba...

Sounds like you did everything right. May i suggest one thing to try? Try using IMGBurn 2.1 to burn the disk. It only burns iso images to CD's and does not do like Nero and allow you to make a data disk with files on it. Nero is good and I use it all the time... Since i have found IMGBurn, I use it ...

Another small suggestion i would like to make would be to try Imgburn 2.1 It is a free utility that specializes in burning iso files. Once you have the UBCD extracted from its exe or zip file or what have you, simply open imgburn and point to the iso and it will burn directly from the iso to the dis...

Re: no

I do have the contents of the image on the CD: 9 folders and 5 files in total. It's the basic CD Follow Victors advice on this as you were not clear with your initial post. Most people complain that it don't work and burn the iso file as a data file onto the CD not knowing how to deal with iso file...
