Huh ? Version 4.1.2 ?

Hello there ^^ So I've been browsing the net a little to look for older versions of the UBCD, and was surprised to see this : http://www.majorgeeks.com/Ultimate_Boot_CD_d4981.html They say version 4.1.2, and it's supposed to have been out since 2007.05.12, while the official site says 4.11 is curren...

Hi there ^^ There used to be old versions on PlanetMirror, but for some reason they seem to have become inaccessible :( However I still have a version 2.4 CD here, do you want me to make an ISO back from it ? Edit : damit, looks like it must be damaged, reading the disc fails at around 99% ... talk ...

A way to get the mac address ?

Hello ^^

So, I was wondering if any tool on the UBCD is able to display a machine's network adapter's mac address(es) ?

Doesn't seem possible with the various PCI identifiers or AIDA16...

Thanks in advance for your replies :)

An IRC client...

Hi there ^^ I think it would be nice to have some IRC client included on the UBCD, for sometimes one may want to ask for help on IRC to fix his own system which isn't booting anymore. So, a while ago I've seen some article on freedos.org ( http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?forum_id=799836 ) abo...

Which version of UBCD4Win did you try that with ?
There's a new version 3.12 out. Anyway, I guess you should look for support at their own forums ( http://www.ubcd4win.com/forum/ ), you'd probably get faster answers

I believe you must run the bat from inside the directory where it actually is, not type the path to it to reach it from another.

Just open a command line interpreter (typically cmd.exe or command.com) and you'll be able to run the command with parameters ^^

I'm surprised you don't know how to do that, considering what you said in your first post oO

I think you didn't use UBCD2ISO to build the image before burning it, that's probably why it doesn't boot.

Hello there ^^
I'd say try connecting the port to another machine's com port and transfer a file using something like good old DOS' intersvr / interlnk
Such feature is available in File Maven if I remember well.

A new release is planned, Victor just lacks time. And there are lots of tutorials and how-tos that let you know how to update / customize the UBCD by yourself if you can't wait...
