Re: UBCD 5.2.1 & 5.2.2 - Firefox in Parted Magic is a real d

Intel(R) Core(TM) i3 CPU 550 @ 3.20GHz (Dell DXPC03) looks like 6 GB RAM Sorry, I didn't build this one. The versions of UBCD, 5.2.1 & 5.2.2, are using 2013_01_29_i586. I would suggest trying latest UBCD (v5.2.3) which uses 2013_2_28_i586 or manually updating to the latest version of Parted Mag...

I understand this, just curious if it was easy to do.

Re: UBCD 5.2.1 & 5.2.2 - Firefox in Parted Magic is a real d

I've tested 5.2.2 on two different machines, and 5.2.1 on my just my Dad's machine, but I get the same issue. Clicking on Firefox sends the CPU meter to 100% and the thing loads super slow. It doesn't help that Parted Magic's author is trying to game the rankings over at Distrowatch.com by having t...

Re: GNU GRUB start screen

I recently overwrite Windows XP with Ubunto 12.10 and I mucked around with PLoP and I ended up getting a GNU GRUB screen. I cannot re-install Windows XP because I only have a recovery disk and I got this error No Free Space found! Is there a way I can get my Windows XP back? So when you went to ins...

Any way to do this server side? I have now own my own VPS with some high specs, was wondering if its possible to take the UBCD and Pmagic, both latest versions, from download sources, and verify Hash, and then Merge them server side, then provide a download with Hash. Re: I have problems with my computer

Most probally you need to reformat your computer. It's a hardware problem. First of all this is a over a 11 month question without a reply by the poster so responding to it probably wont help him/her out. Second, why would formatting the SOFTWARE on the computer fix a HARDWARE issue? If anyone else...

Re: In Need of Some Assistance

As The Piney has asked, more information is required. If windows Vista isnt bootable or fails to boot or something is corrupt you can use the following guide to repair the installation: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/88236-repair-install-vista.html Tho if something is corrupt, then you may need a...

Re: RUN:CHKDSK/R

UBCD doesn't contain windows copyright programs such as chkdsk. You may be thinking about UBCD4WINDOWS which requires a windows disc to work and contains windows software and programs such as chkdsk. You can use knoppix http://www.knopper.net/knoppix/index-en.html tho, which is a free linux live cd ...

Re: Offline NT Password & Registry Editor (Help Please!)

Just use Ophcrack Live CD. It's easier and shows the password or lets you reset it with a GUI (no command line).

Re: Path to registry directory for Windows 7

Boot UBCD 5.0.3 and select Parted Magic. Then boot from RAM (first option). Then once in Parted Magic find the tool "PCLoginNow" should be under Menu>>System Tools. This will let you reset/change or even clear the password without any command line knowledge or having to worry about if you ...

Re: Program to remove blue screen

I believe it may be one of 2 things. 1. Ram could be malfunctioning. Boot with UBCD 5.0.3 then select MEMORY>>Windows Memory Diagnostic. 2. Voltages to the computer are off...which is causing your memory to not properly be read/written to which is causing a BSOD even on windows repair disc>> (Search...
