Hello,
Does anyone out there know if the UBCD V5.x has programs that could look at a Toshiba 320 SATA drive that can not be seen in the BIOS. I've used MiniTools Partition program USB boot, and it shows Block 0 error and Sector 0 errror, but it does show the 3 partitions. I need a program to check, move, hide, repair bad sectors.
Thank You
Jeff

Re: SATA DRIVE
If the brain of the system (BIOS) cant see a device, then the device doesn't exist to that computer, so no software would be able to see it.Jeff Scott wrote:Hello,

Sounds like the drive is shot, as this is a common issue I come across with old HDD's that reach their EOL (end of life). Check if under warranty, if so, get it replaced. I do hope you make regular backups.
Note: If you need data recovery from a drive such as this, you would have to contact a specialty company to extract the platters in a clean room and recover the data. This an expensive process and unless it's life or death, or you have $1k laying around, would suggest against it.
Good Luck
