I tried to create a bootable UBCD USB on my OS X but when it doesn't work.
Here's what I did:
1. Converted the iso image to dmg
2. Using the dd command I copied the dmg file to the USB device

Have you ever done this kind of procedures with other bootable ISO images in that same system and you got a successful result?
For example, have you ever tried it with some Linux ISO image?
Are you using an Intel-based BIOS hardware? For instance, UBCD won't work in EFI systems.

Works on Mac OS X.
Surprised this doesn't support UBCD, but can select iso. I have used it in the past, never on Mac OS X, but it is supported. Let me know how it works for you.
