I'm trying to run HDDErase on my UBCD 5.2.7 .

The CD boots up ok, main menu displays. When I select HDDErase (either version, 3.3 or 4.0) the program begins ok. The "disclaimer" screens appear and ask me "Do I want to continue?" (with the erase action).

Then the screen displays the HDDErase info in a box outlined by ** symbols.

After that, the cursor blinks, no response and no dialog messages on screen. My HDD Drive Activity LED indicates no activity on the HDD.

I've booted up several times and selected both versions with the same symptom.

I have 1 SATA (III) Seagate Barracuda (1 Tb) HDD installed in my Tower and am trying to use HDDErase to wipe the HDD.

My system info:

- Asus ASUS P7P55D-E Mother Board
- Intel i5-650 CPU
- Corsair 16Gb (8 x2) DDR3 RAM 1600 Mhz 9-9-9-24
- BIOS: American Megatrends Ver 0610 12/15/09

My other misc boot CD's are working ok (misc Imaging/Cloning tools, Memtest boot cd, etc)

Has anyone used the UBCD HDDErase recently?

I have not tried using HDERASE but have you made sure the ISO you downloaded MD5 matched the servers?

Please check your UBCD ISO MD5 Hash Sum; May prevent issues later on by not having an exact copy.
