I've got corrupt Vista OS with 0xc0000098 error

This laptop was donated to my nonprofit so I do not have original disks. I have tried F12, F11, F8, etc.. but the option to access the recovery never shows - or - anything I try never gets past the Boot Manager error screen. There's nothing filewise I have to save or recover as we just use this to work ob

I burned the UBCD disk and have it in the laptop.

Does the UBCD help lead me to the recovery partition and if so, which utility should I use?

Thank you.

You can try DSRFix, under HDD / Partition Management.

For more info, see http://www.goodells.net/dellrestore/fixes.shtml

However, sometimes the recovery partition has simply been deleted by the previous owner, and AFAIK there's no way to bring it back.

Thank you Victor! :D

Turns out that the previous owner did delete the partition with recovery but found the recovery disks.

Hoping to fix it up this coming week.

Thank you again Victor
