CD won't boot past ISOLINUX

I have created a bootable CD with UBCD V5 and changed the BIOS settings on my PC so that it boots from the CD drive but all I get is "ISOLINUX 3.86 2010-04-01 ETCD Copyright (c) 1994-2010 H. Peter Anvin et al", then it freezes. I have tried burning a second CD to a CD-R (I used a CD-RW the first time) but I get the same result. Any suggestions or advice would be much appreciated.

Can you boot this CD on another PC?
Which exact version of UBCDv5 are you using?
Which BIOS and BIOS version do you have?

Download "eXpress CheckSum Calculator" and Report the md5 and sha-1 checksums of the ISO you downloaded:

Thanks Icecube for the quick reply. I tried the CD in another PC and got the same line plus "No DEFAULT or UI configuration directive found! boot:" I am running BIOS version A03 on a Dell System DXC051.
I would like to run the express checksum calculator but there doesn't seem to be a download for Windows7, which is the OS on the other pc which is working OK.

I forgot to add that I downloaded V5.02 of UBCD

Try this tool to get the md5sum:
http://www.winmd5.com/
Because the CD also doesn't work on your other PC, I suspect a corrupt download. The md5 checksum will tell us.

Which BIOS version does your Windows 7 PC has?

MD5 Checksum for the file antivir\antivir is: 09c7610739c249233db21fdfae563ea7
Should I do the checksums for all the files?

You need to take the checksum of the whole ISO you burned (the ubcd502.iso file).
The size of your ISO should be aroun 291MB.
The MD5 checksum is a76cd6e57aabadf93671ea6c4b57cd3a

Remark: http://www.serverninjas.com/ultimate-to ... d-download

I'm having this problem.

I checked the md5sum, and it was correct. (a76cd6e57aabadf93671ea6c4b57cd3a)

To be sure, I downloaded the CD from another mirror, checked the md5sum and created the CD.
But still the same error occours.

Thankfull for help on this issue.

Regards
Jon-Arne

I tried to use another USB port for the CD-ROM drive on my computer, and the UBCD menu appeared.

To get some help with this, I suggest you post it again as a new topic. It will then be picked up by Icecube who may be able to offer some help.
