i was using ubcd on a laptop trying to fix the boot and accidentally went into a program, forgot the name, it was a hdd hex editor and i didn't know how to exit without saving so i hit a key and it changed a couple letters/numbers. i finally got out of the program but i think it saved what i had changed. i did a clean install on the laptop and put windows 7 on it. it runs unusually slow sometimes opening up folders and programs. it doesn't seem normal. i'm thinking these symptoms are due to the changes i made in the hex editor program to the hdd? could this be causing the laptop to act like this? if so, how can i undo the changes i made in the hdd hex editor program and put it back to default?
