Planning to Wipe my Hard drive using UBCD

#1 Post by sunsetsamurai » Thu Jan 06, 2011 7:44 am

I have an OS on my Laptop Hard-drive that is essentially buggered.

I have tried to Reinstall and recover the OS, even install a new (older) version of the OS to no avail.

My question is what process or programs do i need to use when booting UBCD in order to Wipe my existing hard-drive clean and install a different OS I have waiting that i know that works.

1. Format using parted magic's gparted
2. Download THIS (it is ubuntu desktop (the desktop version is better for people who don't know unix))
2.1 Go HERE for instructions (No Survey Thing  )
3. Burn and install
3.1 Burn
3.2 To install boot from the cd

In Couple Months go back to your other OS
