It boots, then steps aside

I followed all the instructions for CD creation, choose to boot to the CD drive, UBCD comes up and says press enter, I do and it runs the disk check then immediately boots into my WinXP from the C: drive.

I have a colorful "Warning! Spyware detected on your computer!" error message before XP finishes loading and all functions stop right there. All I want to do is be able to run an antivirus and Spyware program to get access back to my computer. If this is not going to work I may have to remove the drive and install externally on my laptop so I can scan it with AVG & Spybot.

Any suggestions?

I think you'd be better off booting in safe mode and running one of the many spyware apps like:
Seek n destroy or adware

Apparantly my HD was too infected for even that to work. I tried running both antivirus and Spybot but they would freeze at about 25%

The HD has been reformatted.
