Windows 2003 std password reset

#1 Post by porky550 » Fri May 09, 2008 3:02 am

Hi all

I need some help. I have downloaded and burnt the UBCD to disk and booted my server, it is an IBM 346 Dual core Xeon 3.2gig with 4 gig ram
3 disk raids I am not to shore about the Raid controller it an Adaptec with 7k?

Can some one suggest any way I can reset/recover/add admin account to the server
I have tried all sorts of software and had no luck mainly because of the raid
I have looked at Knoppix this is ok but still the UBCD is loads better I have got a lot of the information off the server but still no access to it I don’t want to reinstall

The other problem is that it was connected to a wan via a Cisco Pix 501
It may need domain controller or sumet like that?

Please help

You can try Offline NT Password & Registry Editor on the UBCD. I am not sure that it supports raid, but you can try.

Or download and build ubcd4win http://www.ubcd4win.com.
Use the Sala Password Renew program to:
- (re)set the passwords of any user that has a valid local account
- create a new local user with administrator rights
- set administrator rights to existing user on your NT system

If ubcd4win doesn't see your drives, look at http://ubcd4win.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=9814
If you have problems with ubcd4win, ask your questions at their forum.
