Can't boot my CD

I've copied over the ISO file to my CD as well as copying all the files over also, and the program will not come up on the boot. It just goes right to the operating system. I have a Dell Optiplex GX 240 running a Phoenix bios A0. I can select what drive (CD Drive) I want to boot from and it still won't run . I also used the standard XP format to run the copy routine. Should I use Nero instead?

not meaning to sound presumptuous but when you say "copy", do you mean that you're simply placing the ISO as a file onto the CD??

See the tutorial section of Ultimate Boot CD: http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/tutorials.html.

Or you can also use Infrarecorder to burn the iso (freeware and opensource) http://infrarecorder.sourceforge.net/.

Also see: http://iso.snoekonline.com/iso.htm. It contains the necessary steps on how to burn an iso with a lot of different free and non-free programs.
