Virtual Machines = "No Coasters"

Hello everybody, it's a beautiful day here in the Pacific Northwest and I have yet another question:
What is everyone using to make sure their brand spanking new, super customized images, will boot properly, and that the menus look and behave correctly? I have dabbled with Qemu for a bit, but for the past week I have been using the eval version of MS Virtual PC 2004, and I like it better. Still some people swears by VMWare...
So, how about it? Let's have it!!! What is your secret weapon against 'coasters'? Furthermore, since we all know that using a marker is just plain 'ghetto', how do you identify your newly burned pride and joy?
Don't hold back!!! Inquirng minds want to know!!!!
