SystemRescueCD and CloneZilla

Hello All. I've successfully integrated SystemRescueCD and CloneZilla into Ultimate Boot CD 4.1.1. They work fine.

The problem is that there is a lot of duplicated code between the two additions. So the question is, is there a way to install the CloneZilla package into SystemRescueCD, and then integrate that into UBCD? Since this is more of a Linux question than a UBCD specific question, is there another forum where I might wish to follow up on this?

This is a question Icecube for sure can answer...I believe its possible...but you have to have the right tools to extract the files and then recompress them..and its a lot of work. Requires lots of cmd line params.

But again I am unsure...wait till icecube responds. And I beleive you are not speaking of the boot params but the programs themselves, or am I wrong?

You can try to put all programs of clonezilla in systemrescue, but this is a lot of work.

Which programs of CloneZilla do you use?
Try Parted Magic (in UBCD50 beta 12). It has some of the CloneZilla programs: partimage, udpcast, ...

Just another joe: Can you post some info on how you got Clonezilla into UBCD? I'm not skilled with linux at all so when I try it does not start.

Thanks! And sorry to dig up an old thread!
