Freeze During ASPI Manager

In the past I have had no trouble getting UBCD to work with my external USB HDs and Ghost version 2003.793.

I recently got a Lenovo W700 and want to image the drive.

When I use UBCD v4.11 (I have also tried UBCD v5.0b12) the ASPI manager ALWAYS hangs (it hangs when it says "...Initializing host controller...")

HELP!

USB 1.1 works...

On a side note, I can get USB 1.1 drivers to load without the freeze, so I can make a backup to an external USB with Ghost - it is just real slow...

Instead of using the UBCD, I gust used the Norton Ghost (v2003.793) boot disk maker to make a USB 1.1 boot disk.

So, I haven't gotten UBCD to work with this laptop - and I came here for help - I don't want ot be stuck usign the Ghost USB1.1 boot disk, I want to be able to fix this problem with UBCD loading ASPI manger on a Lenovo W700.

You can use Plop bootmanager. It adds USB support even for BIOSes that doesn't support USB. It also can give you USB 2.0 speed on USB ports that support USB 2.0, when your BIOS only supports USB1.1.
