New to Ubuntu/Linux (<1 month) & just downloaded .iso and burned CD for UBCD 4.10. Can't get it to boot under Ubuntu and don't have Win any more due to disk crash. Can anyone help? I'd like to use UBCD running under Ubuntu to repair the Win XP disk, which resides in the same computer.

You have to run it like the Ubuntu CD (so set the boot order in the BIOS to booting from CD first).
UBCD doesn't work within Windows or Linux.
If your Windows installation is corrupt, UBCD won't help you much. You better search your Windows install disk and go to the recovery console.
