This is a new Dell Dimension 9100 with an EIDE DVD Drive, running on the 'new' Intel 945 chipset - if it makes a difference the mouse and keyboard are USB as there are no PS2 plugs on this BTX motherboard.

There is an F1 for help message, but keyboard seems like it is locked, except Ctrl+Alt+Del works to reboot. I am thinking the new chipset USB isn't supported, but what do I know. :)

Windows XP boot CD works to install the OS.
Norton Systemworks 2003 Recovery CD boots, but similar to above, will not respond to keyboard input.

Thoughts and suggestions are very much appreciated.

Best regards,

Is there a "legacy" mode for USB, also sometimes listed as USB keyboard support in the BIOS?
