ok then how about a simple yes or no answer. lets start out with this then, is there anything on the ultimate boot cd that can help with any type of blue screen errors? My main computer has been down for almost three weeks now. any help would be nice. so a simple yes or no would be a great start :)

There are no utilities on the UBCD that will assist
in BSOD (Blue screen of Death) errors. The only
util that might help would be ASR (Automatic system
recovery), off the Windows installation CD.

UBCD does have utils for hard drive diagnostics which can
help you determine if the drive itself has problems or if
it's the Windows load itself.

To troubleshoot BSOD errors, google BSOD.

UBCD and UBCDWin can provide an environment so that you
can copy files off the hard drive however. In your case
UBCDWin might be your best option for this.

Problem is, there is no (or at least there should not be, for legal reasons) downloadable UBCD for Windows.
It's meant to be made by yourself at home from your well working Windows version ^^

I assume you're using UBCD Windows; if that's the case it's best to post on their forums.

I don't recall what File Managers they use, something like A3 is one they include. It would contain an interface similar to Explorer which should allow
you to copy files (assuming you have a place to copy them to).

yea, i doubt i can copy them to a cd since you need to use a cd writer for that process, what about a memory stick you think that would work?

A memory stick should be supported, but I also think they
may include a cd writer application.
