iso download

is there an iso download for linux. i am running linspire/linux and wrote over my MS stuff. i think i still have some stuff learking around in there plus some of the stuff on my dell laptop is messing my system up...

What do you call "an iso for linux" ?
If you mean not an EXE self-extracting archive, well there are Zip versions ... I guess you can unzip it from linux too ;)

an ISO image, it's how we boot form CD...

i can't use an exe or zip files.. if i were to unzip the file, then that would be my ISO image..

I guess then you should manage to get a program to unzip files.

That won't take so much room on your system, will probably be usefull again later, and will avoid the people who host the files to keep an uncompressed file when not really needed on their hard disk drives (and save bandwidth).

Well, you may also look for an already unzipped version on p2p networks if you really wish to lose time.
