"Program too big to fit into memory" error message

#1 Post by rational » Fri Dec 22, 2006 11:12 pm

Hi,

I am running Windows XP SP2 on a Celeron 2.0 GHz machine with 512 MB of RAM. I have download UBCD34-full.exe but when I try to execute it either from the command prompt or directly from windows I am getting an error message "Program too big to fit into memory"

Could someone plz help me out with this problem?

Thanks

rational

Huh, looks like you must have useless (and probably even unwanted) programs running... do you have an anti-virus and an anti-spyware ?

Anyway, you may try to extract it using an archiver, most of them are able to process self-extracting archives too...
Hammerite Compendium of Precepts, Regimens and Rules of Conduct, Vol. 113 :
A stroke of thy chisel, once made, canst be undone, but a stroke thou dost not make from fear is a worse flaw.
Be not cautious - be correct.

I suspect it's a corrupted download. Did you check the MD5 checksum?

Alternatively, you can download and install 7-ZIP, and try to extract the self-extracting EXE. If there is anything wrong with the self-extracting EXE, 7-ZIP will let you know.
