mplayer / vlcplayer / geexbox media player

#1 Post by cyberfella » Fri Apr 11, 2008 2:07 am

I, like most people here, are hugely impressed with this bootcd - to the point where we almost couldn't survive without it. However, I take lunch breaks from the daily grind of IT'ing, and during my lunch breaks, I like to watch the latest episode of my favourite tv shows. How about including geexbox, or vlc player, or your own mplayer based media player on the ultimate boot cd, so we have something to play with during our lunchbreaks as well as the great tools we enjoy using during the working hours?

Well I guess that would better fit on the UBCD4Win ...

Geexbox is a small linux distro for playing music and video files (9 MB or so). But you have to add it yourself, because I think that Victor doesn't want to include it.

It would take up more space on the CD.
So my vote is no!

If you burn the UBCD.iso, I would include geexbox too, because you do something useful with the space left on the CD. When you include geexbox yourself, you can add also some extra codecs which can't be distributed freely in some countries (patents).
