Hi!

I need to use the last version of powermax for returning a defective maxtor sata hdd. So i try to customize UBCD but, the problem is the only computer that i have don't have a floppy disk so i can't make the image disk for ubcd.
So I need help in this.

I thought all newer Maxtor drivers come with that in a CD form now too? At least mine did. In any case, you should be able to go to Maxtor's website and download it from there and get something working. They have a PowerMax 4.21 Bootable ISO image ready and available if you need only that program. Try this LINK HERE. That link may or may not work, so if not, just browse the support section of their website for the Support Downloads and go to ATA Diagnostics and choose PowerMax... :)

The funny thing is, my friend recently bought a new AMD64 machine
(GigaByte K8N Pro), and neither the UBCD nor the PowerMax ISO will boot!

Under UBCD, I actually dropped to the CDShell command prompt and tried
everything: memdisk, diskemu, bcdw. No go. It just hangs after the
"Loading XXX DOS..." message.

Luckily I brought an extra floppy drive to his house, and booting from
the floppy disk works. Strange.

I intend to try and work this out later when I have the time.
