Avira NTFS4DOS Personal : Read and Write access on NTFS :)

#1 Post by Constance » Wed Aug 09, 2006 4:01 pm

Hello there :)

Looks like this Windows utility linked here : http://free-av.com/antivirclassic/avira_ntfs4dos.html helps to create a FreeDOS boot disk with full access to NTFS partitions with even optional check disk and defrag utilities for NTFS :D

I suppose that would be a great thing if we could include that floppy image / NTFS access tool on UBCD :]

Note: of course, you'll need written permission from Avira GmbH to redistribute...

This looks identical to NTFS4DOS from DataPol, except that it uses FreeDOS instead of MS-DOS?

http://www.datapol-technologies.com/ now has Avira's logo on it with a notice in German (which did not translate well in Babel Fish).

According to my limited knowledge of German, the notice says that Avira bought/merged with datapol (or at least their relevant technologies).
