SATA DVD boot support

#1 Post by MichaelP » Tue Jan 30, 2007 4:31 pm

Our company just received its first shipment of Dell 745s, and we're disappointed to find that we have no CD/DVD access after booting up with UBCD. The DVD drive is SATA. Any chance of incorporating support for these drives into future versions? My guess is that this will become a popular feature very quickly.

I think you are still able to launch the various floppy images via UBCD, right?

But the individual floppy images may not be able to mount SATA CDROM drives.

Does the FreeDOS boot disk in UBCD V3.4 support SATA drives?

No, the program hangs after selecting the OS (same results from both LZ & Free).
