What are the plans for UBCD 3.3 ?

#1 Post by PsiMoon314 » Tue Apr 12, 2005 1:02 am

Hi,

Perhaps it would be good to know what the future development plans are for UBCD.

Are any future releases currently being planned?

If so what new or updated features might they include? :D

Kind Regards

Simon

For UBCD 3.3, the main thing is that we are moving to CDShell 2.1.5 and
bcdw 2.0.

The nice thing about CDShell 2.1.5 is that diskemu has been vastly
improved, so you can boot certain ISO images directly (eg. Acronis
stuff). I will add a tutorial on how to do this once UBCD 3.3 is out.

Other than that, it will be the usual updates and inclusion of a few new
apps (eg. SCSIMax).

Hi Victor,

Thanks for the update on the changes to UBCD.

Do you have any indication on timescales for the next release?

Kind Regards

Simon

Yesterday, I would have given you a more pessimistic schedule. :-)

But I have made significant progress last night, so I'd say V3.3 should
be due next week or so!
