I don't think it will: Ghost 2005 = Ghost 9.
I do not believe Ghost 2003 uses the WinPE environment.

At this time, we don't have sufficient information to
produce Ghost documentation < 9.0.

Hi,

There is a version of Ghost 8.0 (Ghost32.exe) which will work within a Windows XP or Windows PE type environment.

Ghost32.exe basically looks like the earlier DOS lever versions of Ghost, and works in the same way.

It can image within Windows as long as you are not attempting to image the boot partition. You can image from and to an NTFS partition.

I have no idea if the latest Ghost 9 includes this functionality however Ghost32 always seems to work for me from Windows XP or Windows PE / BartPE.

Kind Regards

Simon

Ghost 2003 allows a boot floppy to be used, which includes external drive support.

I suggest making a second image, based on the Windows 98 boot floppy and using WinImage to convert it to a 2.88MB image file, then copying the Ghost.exe file into it, and editing the last line of AutoExec.bat to include: ghost.exe. This way you can load image files off optical drives easier.

Also, you can cut the Win98 boot floppy so it loads the CD options and cut the timeout on it's menu.

Yes, Norton Ghost 2003 or a clone would be nice to see on there, and/or some kind partition magic clone.

I think you can use g4u as a kind of Norton Ghost clone.

For Partition Magic, you can use Ranish Partition Manager, but only
FAT16/32 are supported.

There is also QtParted on INSERT, which supports NTFS resizing.

new problem.

I need the best software to use to copy from computer (hard drive) to computer (hard drive) using tcp/ip, also note that one system has a sata hard drive.

Any ideas?

g4u supports remote cloning.

g4u works at a filesystem/partition level, so it does not matter which
OS you use. To g4u, they are the same thing.
