Question...I have a Utility that must boot from "A"

#1 Post by cpayton » Fri Sep 07, 2007 5:05 am

I have a utility that is on a floppy and it must boot from the "A" drive and be able to write back to the "A" drive.

Will this ultimate CD allow me to use a USB drive to fun this? The issue we have had is that when you boot to a USB drive it does not make the USB drive the "A" drive.

The Utility is hardcoded to write a file back to "A" so right now we are stuck having to use a floppy.

Any suggestions or ideas if this will work?

The utility is for SafeBoot Data Encryption.

If you create a bootable floppy image "SafeBoot Data Encryption" and boot it using memdisk, a virtual floppy disk will be created as A:, and everything should work.
