3.4, HUTIL missing

#1 Post by [vEX] » Sun Oct 15, 2006 12:00 pm

Heya,

HUTIL (Samsung HDD diagnostic utility) is missing from UBCD 3.4, if trying to boot it one will end up in DOS with a message saying the file can't be found. Checking the HUTIL directory shows that it's empty so either it's missing completely or it's not getting set up properly.

I also noted that the latest version is 2.02 so perhaps it could be updated at the same time as it's fixed?

HUTIL's startup.bat copies the app files from the CD to the RAM disk before running it. Something must have gone wrong during the execution of the batch file, so you are not seeing anything in the RAM drive.

At the command prompt, try navigating to the CD and change directory to \dosapps\hutil. Run startup.bat manually and see if there are any error messages.
