Greetings,
could someone point me how to solve the "couldn't find NTLDR" error while integrating the recovery console in USB UBCD?

Thanks.

Hi Icecube,
I'm looking at the ubcd2iso.bat file in the default UBCD iso:

the mkisofs part shows this:

Code: Select all

%~p0\mkisofs.exe -N -J -joliet-long -D -V "UBCD40" -o "%2" -b "isolinux/isolinux.bin" -no-emul-boot -boot-load-size 4 -boot-info-table .
For what I can understand, the -N flag is already there.
How should I modify this string?

Don't shoot me if I am wrong, since I tinkered with this a long time back (I think it was for the V4.0 release).

I remember one of the switches in ubcd2iso.bat is not compatible with NTLDR. It's most probably -N, but it could be -D as well. I am almost certain it's the former.

Why then did I keep the offending switch? Well, if I didn't include it, it causes problem for another app (I can't remember which).

Damn, I should keep better documentation for these things...

I need some help with this because I'm new to all of this stuff. After I install the recovery console and boot up the cd, where can I find the recovery console in the menu?

But I got the following error messages.
"Windows Setup
Please, insert the disk labeled Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 CD into drive A:
* Press ENTER when ready
ENTER=Continue F3=Exit"
Please, give me your advice. Thank you in advance.
Hi;

I see in a later post that you solved this. I have the same problem.
Can you tell me how you fixed this?

Thanks...
