Boot next device problem

#1 Post by webduck » Sat Nov 08, 2008 9:16 am

Hi guys

Been trying to make a disk image (reboot.ima) to replace
Boot next device (on my custom CD)
As its not compatible with all systems.

So I'm looking to Eject the CD and then reboot
this way the system looks for the first device to boot from :)

The problem is when the batch file Ejects the CD it says

"can't read the disk" ?

So It can't Reboot ?

any ideas

Normally when you make a freedos image and launch it with memdisk, it should work because the image is loaded in RAM and doesn't need to read from the CD any more.
Can you post the image that you have made?

Did you try the new options of the chain.c32 command (syslinux)?

Can you upload the disk image, so others can use it.
Maybe also inclusion in UBCD by default.
