Still links to b6 for me.

But my reason for signing up is that the linux kernel that boots to run Mersenne Prime test and CPUStress fails to boot successfully on my desktop computer. It does not panic, but it hangs and occasionally gives an error beginning with USB 1-1: <message>.

I tested the image I downloaded in a virtual machine on my laptop as well as from the disc I burned (just in case the image was corrupt or the disc I burned was bad), but it turned out just fine. I assume this is a hardware problem specific to my desktop. UBCD 4.10 works fine. I'd love to be able to run a multi-threaded instance of CPUstress and/or mPrime.

My specifications are as follows:

DFI LanParty DK P35-T2RS
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 (overclocked but stable)
4GB Corsair Dominator 8500C5D

The rest should be irrelevant (hard disk, GPU, DVD drive), but if you need to know, please alert me.

Can you see the "CPUstresss v2" title or does it hang earlier?
Can you write down the exact error messages that you get (Press TAB at the menu and edit the filename of the initrd to a non-existing name so you see the kernel output)?

If you have any USB devices atached, detach them and try to boot Mersenne Prime test and CPUStress again and see if that solves the problem.

You only updated the link on the download page, not the one on the home page.

Fix that as well. Shouldn't happen again as I have updated my beta "release" worksheet. :D
