I'm looking for info on how to make an ultamite boot disk that'll boot multiple OSs, here's what I'm wanting.

OS
winxp
vista x32x64
win7 x32x64

Tools
livexp
vistape
win7pe
recovery console
f-secure rescue
erd2005

I've got a SuperBoot DVD that has all versions of XP Pro/Home, Dell, IBM, etc.. Also has multiple utilities but it's from 2005. I tried to update it to sp3 but it came out way too big. How can I use Ultimate Boot CD to do this?

Hi cripp7,

See this thread:viewtopic.php?t=1931
It doesnt completely answer your question but it gives some more info with ubcd and multiple OS/diag/tools.

The Tool booting should be possible without too much trouble. Its a matter of mapping out WIM files and so on.

The OS booting on the other hand can be a problem. Vista and later bootloader only support single install.wim file. OK say you combine both archs and both OSes into a single install.wim file - The resulting file will be bigger than fat32 single file size limit (4GB). Support for NTFS syslinux booting is on syslinux dev mind but no guarantee when/if it will happen. Only semi-solid solution i have found for this is to use USB-HDD and create multiple partitions, keep the diagnostics/ubcd/tools on the first partition and then use syslinux to chainload the other partitions (which can be NTFS or whatever; the chainloading process does care).
