Booting directly in X?

Hello
I'd like to build an ISO that Windows end-users can use to salvage their data from a virus-infected PC, and try to remove viruses using Avira.
Since a text-based menu is too complicated for them, I'd like UBCD to boot directly in X, and just display a couple of icons, such as a X-version of Midnight Commander and another to start Avira.
Can UBCD be easily customized to do this, or is it meant to start from a text-mode menu, and would require a fair share of customizing by an expert? If the latter, what alternative would you recommend?
Thank you.
