My older Windows XP computer wouldn't boot. I could get to the recovery console, but, it would error out. I booted with UBCD and ran some hard drive tests. The hard drive was OK so I assume something is corrupted.
I'm not sure if I will be able to find my original Windows XP CD.
Are there any tools to check and repair the boot files?

Re: Windows XP Boot Repair
Can you explain what error you are getting?
And to be honest, after April of next year, XP will no longer be supported by Microsoft.
It is possible to find an XP install disc from torrents, while I don't promote this, you own a legal copy of Windows XP so it's more of last resort.
