UBCD vs BIOS

#1 Post by DFE » Sat Dec 21, 2013 8:43 pm

Just wondering if UBCD 5.2.6 should work with any type of BIOS such as UEFI?

Almost all the tools included in UBCD depend on BIOS to work correctly. For (U)EFI systems, you need to use CSM (a.k.a BIOS legacy/compatibility mode).

Hello,

I've noticed on new hardware inside the bios you can't change anymore from UEFI to legacy (mostly on laptops). It seems they remove CSM option of new laptops, and soon from everything?

I have a very bad feeling and a shiver about all new hardware, we're loosing control on everything ...

No update about UBCD and UEFI support planned?

Joe
