How do i add Hiren's BootCD 7.4 to the UBCD?

It comes as a ISO image.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks to me like that CD contains commercial software.

I refuse to enable my browser's JavaScript on that site because I don't trust it, so maybe there's some explanation on the site that I can't see, like an explanation that the CD contains free versions of commercial software.

Please clarify.

I am not shure. Most of the software i have used on it are trial versions. There is no explenation from the creater that i have been able to find. I mostly use UBCD and UBCD4win any ways. I thought the best artcle i ever saw was on how to link thouse two. Is freeDOS the full version of the FreeDOS system?

I'm looking for a way to combine UBCD with Hiren's Boot CD v7.8. Is there a way to boot the Hiren ISO with UBCD if i put it on the CD? i've looked for days. btw: i love the UBCD. i have version 3.3 and will very likely download the new version as well. Thanks in advance

Hiren's is WAREZ!!! I wouldn't even want that word (hiren) associated with myself, project, or forum.

Technically UBCD 4 Win is Warez, because it's basically a stripped version of Windows XP... since altering windows in anyway isn't exactly legal without MS's written consent. besides if any corp truley cared about Hiren they would have shut him down years ago.

Any how i found a way to combine all three CDs.

just make a custom version of UBCD. before making the iso file i just created a new folder in the UBCD root folder and named it "custom" then i opend magicISO and inserted Hirens boot CD and UBCD4Win and made ISO files from the cds. put the iso files into the custom folder then extracted mkisofs.exe to the UBCD main folder made my ISO file for UBCD by double-clicking mkubcd.bat. then burned the ISO file to CD with MagicISO's builtin burning software.
all you have to do to boot the two iso files is select "drop to console" navigate to the custom folder and type "diskemu" then the filename( example: "diskemu UBCD4WIN.iso")
i couldn't get it to work from the custom menu.

i saw the "how to" section of the forum, and basically followed that.



UPDATE: Looks like your stuck with carrying a seperate hiren CD for now. After some Testing i found that this method doesn't seem to work with hirens and UBCD4Win. probably issue created by emulation...anyhow i'll keep messing with MagicISO to see if i can get it working i'm currently working on a project to get everything working. perhapes the virus scan on Hirens just doesn't work with v7.8. i'll look in to it some more.

UBCD4Win is not warez and is only freeware that has been given persmission to be included. There is no modifying the M$ code at all in Bart'sPE. And since you can only have one session of windows running at one time on your box unless you have 2 licenses for the same machine, there is no violation of licensing.

So how is it illegal again?

Thanks Baron for replying. I didn't earlier because I figured there would be no way to convince this person?? Attacking others because you are (or may be) a pirate just makes you look even more GUILTY.
It's a fact that Hiren's is piracy.
If UBCD4Win or Bart's PE were.....wouldn't MS shut our sites down?? I've already dealt with MS on one occasion because MS didn't like the original name of UBCD4Win. Which was "Windows Ultimate Boot CD." I made a mistake and they were nice. Just check out the site, you'll see a link from the "home" page for the MS documents.

SO, if UBCD4Win were warez.....MS would shut it down. They've already looked at the site, it's been up for close to 2 years now, so we are safe!!
